OUR STORY

A local with a little history.

The Dolphin has long been part of Little Chelsea, welcoming generations of Eastbourne locals alongside visitors to the town.

Formerly known as The Railway Arms, The Dolphin was rebuilt for Kemp Town Brewery around 1930, and much of its original character survives today. Look closely and you’ll find reminders of its past throughout the building, from the dolphin motifs and leaded windows to original features within the front bar.

The Dolphin today

For the past two decades, The Dolphin has been a much-loved part of life in Little Chelsea. Today, Liam and the team are building on that, retaining the character people know and love while bringing fresh energy to the pub.

South Street is a lively part of Eastbourne, home to independent businesses and regular events that bring people together. The Dolphin is very much part of that, whether you’re here for a drink, dinner with friends or a busy Friday evening.
